. This remarkable print takes us back to the picturesque town of Launceston in Cornwall on a sunny summer day in 1921. The image showcases the charm and simplicity of street life during that era. In the foreground, an elegant vintage car with registration AF2926 is cautiously making its way across the ford at West Bridge Road. Four individuals inside seem to be enjoying their journey through this idyllic Cornish landscape. On the bridge above, nine curious children stand side by side, their eyes fixed on the passing scene below. Their clothes reflect the fashion trends of early twentieth-century England - neatly pressed dresses for girls and shorts paired with knee-high socks for boys.
