The Mroua people, also known as the M'Buti or M'Bochi, are an ethnic group inhabiting the dense forests of the Congo Basin, primarily in the modern-day Democratic Republic of Congo. Historically, the Mroua were a significant force in the central African region, renowned for their military prowess and complex social structures. They were skilled hunters, farmers, and ironworkers, and their society was organized around a hierarchical system of clans and sub-clans. The Mroua were also known for their distinctive appearance, with shaved heads, large earrings, and elaborate body scarification.
