Tarbosaurus dinosaur, artwork C017 / 0682

Tarbosaurus dinosaur. Artwork of an Tarbosaurus, a large bipedal predator belonging to the same family as Tyrannosaurus Rex (Tyrannosauridae). Of all the tyrannosaurids, the Tarbosauryus has the smallest two-fingered forelimbs in relation to body size. Its mouth was equipped with dozens of large, sharp teeth and it had a unique locking mechanism in its lower jaw. It lived in what is now Asia at the end of the Late Cretaceous Period (70-65 million years ago)

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print showcases the incredible Tarbosaurus dinosaur, a fearsome predator that roamed the Earth during the Late Cretaceous Period. Created by talented artist Jose Antonio Peñas, this artwork beautifully captures the essence of this massive bipedal creature. Belonging to the same family as Tyrannosaurus Rex, Tarbosaurus is known for its imposing size and formidable presence. However, what sets it apart from other tyrannosaurids is its unusually small two-fingered forelimbs in relation to its body size. Despite this limitation, Tarbosaurus compensated with dozens of large, sharp teeth and a unique locking mechanism in its lower jaw. Living in what is now Asia millions of years ago, Tarbosaurus was an apex predator that ruled over its prehistoric domain. Its carnivorous nature made it a formidable force in the animal kingdom at that time. Through this remarkable illustration, we are transported back to an era when these magnificent creatures roamed freely across vast landscapes. The attention to detail and scientific accuracy showcased in this artwork make it not only visually stunning but also educational for those interested in paleontology and prehistory. Whether you are a nature enthusiast or simply captivated by ancient wildlife, this print serves as a testament to the awe-inspiring diversity that once existed on our planet long before humans walked the Earth.
