Teacher Miss Sally Cox displays a £ 65 cheque for the Huddersfield Hospice Appeal, watched by some of the 200 Royds Hall High School pupils who helped raise the cash. The amount was collected in a week by the children selling comics and books among themselves, and donating money which would normally be spent on sweets. The fundraising was organised by the religious education department. 22nd April 1985
