EDITORS COMMENTS
In this print titled "Horace The Hideaway Hamster" we are transported back to December 1969, where an extraordinary and adorable story unfolds. Horace, a mischievous hamster with an insatiable appetite, found himself on a thrilling adventure inside John Daly's mini cab. For 40 minutes straight, he nibbled his way through the vehicle's interior, causing quite a commotion. Luckily for everyone involved, fitter Bert Watson came to the rescue. With skillful hands and determination, he dismantled the dashboard facia to retrieve the tiny escape artist. As captured in this momentous image by Mirrorpix photographer Z11705-004, Bert is seen holding Horace gently but firmly in his grasp. The true owner of this daring hamster was none other than Daniele - Lady Beaument's 16-year-old daughter. It seems that during their journey in the mini cab together, Horace managed to slip away unnoticed. However, thanks to Bert's expertise and swift action, both Daniele and her beloved pet were soon reunited. This heartwarming photograph encapsulates not only the unusual escapades of a furry little creature but also showcases human kindness and resourcefulness when faced with unexpected challenges. It serves as a reminder that even in moments of chaos or surprise encounters like these from our pasts can bring smiles to our faces today.
