Iran - The Khoda Bridge

The Khoda Bridge at Kaleybar (or Kalibar) - a town in the East Azerbaijan Province of Iran. Two bridges were built on this site, the first being 160m in length dating back to the 6th century (Saljuqian period). The second bridge 120m in length related to the Safavid era. The foundations of the former being in stone and the bridge itself of brick. The latter was constructed with sculptured stone and a combination of gypsum and limestone. Date: circa 1905
