In this photo print, we are transported back in time to witness a haunting scene from "The Dance of Death". Engraved by the talented Hans Lutzelburger around 1538, this woodcut depicts "Death and the Old Man" with remarkable detail. At the center of the composition stands an aged man, his feeble frame supported by a walking stick. His long beard cascades down his chest, symbolizing wisdom acquired over a lifetime. However, his frailty is evident as he leans heavily on his trusted companion. Beside him looms Death itself, depicted as a skeletal figure draped in flowing robes.
