EDITORS COMMENTS
In this electrifying moment captured by photographer Rebecca Naden on October 23,2001, Millwall Football Club's Tim Cahill (center) celebrates his second goal against Bradford City with teammate Richard Sadlier (right) during a Nationwide Division One match at The Den in London. The Den, Millwall's historic home ground, was filled with an electric atmosphere as the Lions looked to secure a crucial victory. Cahill, an Australian international midfielder, had already opened the scoring in the first half, but Bradford equalized early in the second period, setting the stage for a thrilling finale. With the crowd roaring them on, Cahill struck again, this time from the penalty spot, sending the Bradford goalkeeper the wrong way and restoring Millwall's lead. Sadlier, a Republic of Ireland international striker, was on hand to share in the joy of the moment, as the two players embraced in a jubilant celebration. The goal proved to be the decisive one, as Millwall held on for a hard-fought 3-1 victory, lifting them to the top of the Division One table. This photograph encapsulates the passion and determination of Millwall Football Club and their fans, who have long been known for their unwavering support. The image serves as a reminder of the excitement and drama that football can bring, and the importance of teamwork and camaraderie in achieving success on the pitch.
