This collection of 19 vintage postcards showcases the grandeur and elegance of ocean liners during the 20th century. Each postcard features an iconic ocean liner in all its glory, transporting passengers across the vast expanse of the ocean in style and comfort. The first postcard in this assortment depicts the Kaiser Wilhelm, a German passenger liner launched in 1903. This majestic ship was the largest and fastest in the world at the time, setting new standards for ocean travel. The following postcards feature the Kaiser Wilhelm Der Grosse, a sister ship to the Kaiser Wilhelm, as well as the Kronprinzessin Cecilie, another German liner known for its luxurious amenities. The British and English shipping lines were also well-represented in this era of ocean travel, with postcards of the Mauretania and Windsor Castle. The Mauretania, launched in 1907, was the first ship to hold the Blue Riband for the fastest transatlantic crossing, while the Windsor Castle, launched in 1922, was the largest and most luxurious ocean liner in the world at the time.
