Step back in time with this photograph of the Three Horse Shoes pub in High Ongar, Essex, dating back to the 1930s. The image showcases the left facade of the historic building, with its distinctive signage and brick exterior. The pub, which was once a popular watering hole for locals and travelers, was owned and operated by Seabrooke and Sons, Limited. As you gaze at the photograph, you can almost hear the clinking of glasses and the lively chatter of patrons. The Three Horse Shoes, located at CM5 9NE, was a beloved establishment in the community for many decades. The back of the print reveals an intriguing trading record, detailing the pub's history. It shows that the Three Horse Shoes was in operation as early as 1929 and continued to serve customers until at least 1962. Unfortunately, as of July 2018, the pub had closed its doors and was transformed into a restaurant.
