This stunning watercolour painting captures the majesty and power of GWR Castle Class No. 7017, affectionately named "G.J. Churchward," as it leads a Cornish express train over the iconic Royal Albert Bridge across the River Tamar. The Castle Class locomotives, designed by George James Churchward in 1923, were a significant improvement over their predecessors, with increased power and efficiency.
