The sisters, both dressed elegantly, stand side by side. Princess Sophie, in a darker dress, is seen next to her husband, Constantine, Duke of Sparta. Princess Margarete, affectionately known as "Mossy," is on the right, with her husband, Friedrich Karl of Hesse-Cassel. From left to right, we see George of Greece, standing tall; Philipp and Wolfgang of Hesse-Cassel; Helen, Princess of Greece and Denmark; Maximilian, Paul, and Alexander of Hesse-Cassel; and Christoph of Hesse-Cassel.
