Frederick II, also known as Frederick the Great, was the King of Prussia from 1740 until his death in 1786. This striking print depicts Frederick II on horseback, facing left, dressed in the uniform of the Prussian army. Born in 1712, Frederick II came to the throne at the age of 28 following the death of his father, King Frederick William I.
