This evocative photograph captures the sleek lines and powerful presence of a Boulton Paul Overstrand high-speed day or night bomber of the Royal Air Force (RAF), as it prepares for a mission in the mid-1930s. The Overstrand was a biplane designed by the British aircraft manufacturing company, Boulton Paul, and powered by two Bristol Pegasus 600hp engines.
