The palace terrace complex, once the capital of the Achaemenid Empire established by Darius I in 518 BCE, stands as a testament to ancient Persian civilization. Drawing inspiration from Assyrian and Babylonian palaces, successive great kings added various elements to create an architectural masterpiece. The vertical aerial perspective allows us to appreciate the vastness and intricacy of this world heritage site.
