Eighteenth Regiment of Foot, The Battle of Blenheim, 13th August 1704. The Battle of Blenheim (referred to in some countries as the Battle of Hochstadt) was a major battle of the War of the Spanish Succession. The outcome of the battle was a victory for the British and allied army under the Duke of Marlborough and Prince Eugene of Savoy over the French and Bavarians.
