This print showcases the intricate details of a closed altarpiece, painted by the renowned Flemish artist Rogier van der Weyden. Titled "View of the panels of the closed altarpiece, depicting the Annunciation and saints" this masterpiece dates back to 1460-66 and is currently housed in Eglise de Saint-Martin in Ambierle, France. The central panel portrays an angel gracefully delivering the momentous news of the Annunciation to the Virgin Mary. Surrounding them are various saints who add depth and symbolism to this religious composition. On the left side stands Saint Anne, cradling her daughter Mary who holds baby Jesus tenderly.
