In this photograph, Ross Barkley of Everton Football Club is seen in full flight during a pre-season friendly match against Partick Thistle at Firhill Stadium during the 2012-13 season. The young midfielder, then just 19 years old, was making a name for himself in the Everton first team, having already made his debut in the Premier League the previous year. Barkley's electric pace and dynamic energy were on full display in this encounter, as he charged forward with the ball at his feet, leaving Thistle defenders in his wake.
