In this evocative photograph taken by Joe Meredith on July 29, 2014, Steve Cotterill, the experienced and determined manager of Bristol City Football Club, leads his team onto the hallowed turf of Whaddon Road for a pre-season clash against local rivals Cheltenham Town. The air was thick with anticipation as the first team squad of the old Bristol City, dressed in their distinctive blue and white stripes, prepared for the 14-15 season's first competitive test. The sun was setting over the picturesque stadium, casting long shadows across the pitch, as the players and management staff made their way out of the tunnel, ready to face their opponents in this pre-season friendly.
