In this evocative photograph taken on the 1st of November, 2014, at Ashton Gate, the home ground of Bristol City Football Club, two seasoned managers, Lee Johnson of Oldham Athletic and Steve Cotterill of the home team, share a respectful moment before the kick-off of their Championship fixture. The image captures the essence of the beautiful game, as two rivals prepare to do battle on the pitch, yet off it, they demonstrate sportsmanship and camaraderie. The 14-15 season was a competitive one in the Championship league, with both teams vying for a place in the upper echelons of the table. The atmosphere at Ashton Gate was electric, as the fans of Bristol City eagerly anticipated their team's performance against Oldham. The pre-match rituals, such as the handshake between the managers, added to the excitement and anticipation of the day. Lee Johnson, a young and ambitious manager, had taken charge of Oldham Athletic in the summer of 2014, replacing Darren Kelly.
