The tension in the air is palpable as King, clad in his blue and white stripes, leaps into the air to head the ball past the Charlton goalkeeper and secure a crucial three points for Birmingham City in the season's opening fixture. King, a prolific striker known for his poaching abilities in the penalty area, had joined Birmingham City the previous season after a successful stint with Wolverhampton Wanderers. His arrival was met with excitement by the Blues faithful, who hoped he would help turn around their fortunes in the Championship.
