In this image from the Barclays Premier League match between Sunderland and Arsenal, held at the Stadium of Light on September 14,2013, we find Olivier Giroud of Arsenal in a moment of triumph, as he celebrates one of the three goals his team would score that day, leaving Sunderland's Ki Sung-Yueng looking on in disappointment. The French international striker, who had only joined Arsenal from Montpellier in the summer transfer window, was making a name for himself in the English top flight with his clinical finishing and ability to hold up the ball. Here, he is seen leaping in the air, arms outstretched, after converting a cross from the right flank, putting Arsenal 3-1 up and effectively sealing the three points for the Gunners. Ki Sung-Yueng, the South Korean midfielder for Sunderland, watches the scene unfold with a mixture of frustration and resignation.
