In the chaos of the altercation, Belloin even went so far as to knife Mme Prevel's friend Francois when he tried to intervene.
But it was Porthos who ultimately came to the rescue, knocking down Belloin and preventing further harm from being done. The bravery and loyalty displayed by this remarkable dog in saving his beloved mistress is nothing short of awe-inspiring.
