An Evening in the Ukraine, 1901, (1939). Landscape with trees and houses bathed in rosy evening light. In his early twenties, Arkhip Kuindzhi (1842-1910) worked as a retoucher in a photography studio and was later co-partner of the Peredvizhniki artists co-operative.
