Richard Dabson, who works as a waiter in a Piccadilly Circus restaurant by day, is a successful composer when he goes home in the evening.
Soon at his first composition was broadcast by the BBC, Dick, as he is known to his customers, was offered a job different from waiting, but he turned it down because he says his present work inspires him with musical ideas.
Mr Dabson thinks up tunes for stirring marches, sentimental waltzes and passionate tangoes while he is serving drinks at the Monaco.
One of his compositions, called Sweetheart, has been made into a short film which will be shown soon.
