EDITORS COMMENTS
Once upon a time in a magical forest, Princess Marigold found herself on an enchanting adventure. Surrounded by a menagerie of extraordinary creatures, the young princess sat atop an elegant elephant, her golden gown shimmering in the dappled sunlight. The prince, her loyal companion, rode proudly by her side on a majestic white horse. Ahead of them, the forest came alive with the wonders of nature. A playful giraffe peeked out from behind a tree, its long neck stretching towards the heavens. A curious bear cub poked its head from a hollow tree trunk, while a mischievous goat climbed a nearby tree, its bells jingling in the breeze. As they continued their journey, they came across a clearing where a strongbow lay, its arrows pointing towards a magnificent tree. Princess Marigold, with a sense of awe, approached the tree and discovered that it held a magical spell. With a gentle touch, she released the enchantment, and the forest was filled with the sound of laughter and joy. The magical creatures gathered around the princess, including a graceful deer, a wise old owl, a mischievous pig, and even a group of playful penguins and industrious beavers. The prince, with a smile on his face, looked at his beloved princess, knowing that their adventure had only just begun. This illustration, from Treasure no. 2 (26 January 1963), invites us to join Princess Marigold and the Magic Spell in a world of wonder and enchantment. The illustration, filled with intricate details and vibrant colors, is a true testament to the power of imagination and the magic of nature.
