His first wife, Anne Staunton (seen on his left wearing a gable hood) was the heiress of Elford and his second wife, Isabel Neville (seen on his right with coronet), was a daughter of Lady Joan Ingoldesthorp and Marquis Montagu (d.1471 at the battle of Barnet), a niece of Warwick the Kingmaker and cousin of King Richard III.
