Great image capturing the raw power and unpredictability of nature as it brings a halt to the Championship clash between Bristol City and Watford at Ashton Gate Stadium on December 26, 2012. The heavy rainfall, which had been relentless throughout the day, had finally reached a point where the conditions on the pitch became unplayable. Referee Michael Naylor, standing resolutely in the downpour, made the difficult decision to postpone the game, much to the disappointment of the eagerly anticipating fans. The old, first team stadium, bathed in a somber grey light, seemed to mirror the mood of the spectators as they watched the water accumulate on the pitch, making it impossible for the match to continue. The Championship derby between Bristol City and Watford, which was set to be an exciting and closely contested affair, was now postponed indefinitely. The players, who had braved the elements during the warm-up, huddled together in the dressing rooms, waiting for news on when the game would be rescheduled. The rain continued to pour down, creating a mesmerizing scene as it cascaded off the roof of Ashton Gate Stadium.
