Sir Raymond Douglas Davies, CBE (born 21 June 1944) is an English singer, songwriter and musician. He is the lead singer, rhythm guitarist and main songwriter for the Kinks, which he leads with his younger brother, Dave. He has also acted, directed and produced shows for theatre and television
The Kinks enjoyed several hits like Sunny Afternoon and Waterloo Sunset in the 1960s, and Lola in 1970s. The 1980s saw a revival with the hit song Come Dancing.

Sir Raymond Douglas Davies, CBE, born on June 21st, 1944, is an English music legend known for his role as the frontman of The Kinks. Alongside his younger brother Dave, Ray leads the band while also showcasing his talents as a rhythm guitarist and main songwriter. Beyond music, he has ventured into acting, directing, and producing shows for both theater and television. The Kinks experienced tremendous success throughout their career with hits like "Sunny Afternoon" and "Waterloo Sunset" in the swinging sixties. In the seventies came their timeless classic "Lola" while a revival took place during the eighties with their hit song "Come Dancing".
