Paul and Linda McCartney in 1972. Ex- Beatle Paul McCartney

Paul and Linda McCartney in 1972.
Ex- Beatle Paul McCartney, and his wife Linda have been catching the public by surprise in the select area of St. Johns Wood where they live. Both Paul and Linda, when weather permits, travel to the recording studios in Abbey Road, North London by bike, where they are finishing off their new single and working on their album. Paul and Linda, whose group Wings record regularly at the North London studios, using orthodox methods of transport, believe that by going to work by bike, they will keep themselves in shape.

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this print from 1972, we catch a glimpse of the legendary Paul McCartney and his wife Linda in St. Johns Wood, London. The ex-Beatle and his talented partner have been causing quite a stir as they surprise the public with their unconventional mode of transportation. Opting for bikes to commute to Abbey Road's recording studios, where they are diligently working on their new single and album with Wings, Paul and Linda showcase their down-to-earth nature. The picture captures the couple's vibrant energy as they pedal through the streets of North London. With Linda donning her stylish moon boots and Paul sporting his signature charm, it is evident that these two musical powerhouses are not afraid to break away from tradition. By choosing bicycles over more conventional means of transport, Paul and Linda aim to stay fit while indulging in their passion for music. Their commitment to using orthodox methods aligns perfectly with their belief that physical fitness enhances creativity. Kent Gavin skillfully freezes this moment in time, allowing us a glimpse into the lives of these iconic musicians during an era when fame did not hinder them from embracing simplicity. This photograph serves as a reminder that even legends like Paul McCartney find joy in everyday activities while pursuing artistic excellence.
