The sculpture, now housed in the British Museum in London, United Kingdom, was originally discovered at the Temple of Karnak in Thebes. Queen Ahmes-Merytamun is depicted with an elegant Hathor wig, a symbol of royalty and femininity in ancient Egyptian culture. The wig, adorned with cow horns and a sun disc, represents the goddess Hathor, the goddess of love, music, and fertility.
