The Maharani of Cooch-Behar, WW1
Indira Raje of Baroda (19 February 1892 6 September 1968), later the Maharani of Cooch Behar, and later Her Highness the Maharani Sahiba after her sons succession, was the consort of Maharaja Jitendra Narayan, Maharaja of Cooch Behar and a princess of Baroda in her own right. She also served as regent of Cooch Behar during the minority of her son. She defied her parents wishes to marry Jitendra and spent a large portion of her life in Europe. PIctured in The Tatler at the time her father had offered his " all" to King George V at the commencement of war. Date: 1914

Born on 19 February 1892, Indira was a princess in her own right, the daughter of the Gaekwad of Baroda. However, she defied her father's wishes and married Maharaja Jitendra Narayan of Cooch Behar in 1911.
