XJF440615 Playbill for Her Majestys Theatre, Italian Opera House, 1845 (printed paper) by English School, (19th century); Private Collection; (add.info.: Still exisiting in Haymarket, City of Westminster, London, this theatre is now known as only Her Majestys Theatre; The first opera that is announced is Anna Bolena, an opera in two acts written by the Italian composer Gaetano Donizetti (1797-1848) and that was first performed in Milan in 1830; The ballet, La Esmeralda which is billed as following the opera, was inspired by Notre Dame de Paris by Victor Hugo (1802-1885) and was choreographed by Jules Perrot (1810-1892) to music written by Cesare Pugni (1802-1870); The Prima Ballerina was to be Carlotta Grisi (1819-1899), an Italian ballerina; ); English, out of copyright
