It consists of a total of 18 paintings on panel that represent scenes from the mysteries of the Rosary. In the upper part there is a central painting where the Coronation of the Virgin by the Holy Trinity is represented. It is not the original panel, the one whose subject is unknown, but a copy of the Coronation of Mary in the heavens by Diego Velazquez.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print showcases the magnificent Baroque altarpiece of the Sanctuary of the Miracle in Riner, Lleida. Created by renowned artist Carlos Murato between 1721 and 1780, this masterpiece is a true testament to the grandeur and intricacy of Baroque art. The altarpiece, located in the central apse of the church, stands an impressive 23 meters tall and spans 12 meters wide. Crafted by sculptor Carles Morato in the 18th century, it consists of three superposed bodies that exude opulence and splendor. At its heart lies a striking image of the Virgin Mary representing her apparition. Holding a cross in her hand, she appears to address two shepherds—one kneeling before her while another flees fearfully—a scene filled with both reverence and awe. Above this central painting is another remarkable piece depicting the Coronation of Mary by Diego Velazquez. Although not an original panel but rather a copy, it adds further beauty and significance to this already extraordinary altarpiece. In addition to these masterful paintings, there are also eighteen smaller panels adorning this work of art. These panels depict various scenes from the mysteries of the Rosary on wooden panels—an exquisite display that showcases Murato's attention to detail and artistic skill. Overall, this photograph captures not only a stunning piece of religious artwork but also serves as a reminder of Catalonia's rich cultural heritage.
