OK Sauce - British Condiment - WW2 era
WW2 era - morale booster - Don t worry about me - everythings O.K. - OK Sauce, a fruity brown sauce not dissimilar from HP, was a popular British condiment for the first half of the 20th century. Eventually, it was dropped by most major supermarkets, but has, oddly enough, found a home in the Chinese community. You can occasionally find a bottle, now with prominent Chinese lettering, in Chinese stores. Date: circa 1944

The bright label, adorned with the reassuring slogan "Don't Worry About Me - Everything's O.K.," was a morale booster for many during the challenging times of the 1940s. OK Sauce, a fruity brown sauce not unlike HP, was a staple in British households for the first half of the 20th century. Its unique flavor and comforting message made it a popular choice for adding zest to meals and lifting spirits during the hardships of the war. The bottle, now with prominent Chinese lettering, can still be found in Chinese stores, a testament to its enduring appeal. This postcard, dated circa 1944, offers a glimpse into the past and a reminder of the simple pleasures that brought comfort and joy to people during a time of uncertainty.
