This photograph, taken between approximately 1890 and 1900, showcases the picturesque Neufahrwasser Lighthouse located in what is now Gdansk, Poland. At the time, this region was part of the German province of West Prussia. The image, rich in historical significance, transports us back to a bygone era with its nostalgic charm. The lighthouse, standing proudly against the backdrop of the Baltic Sea, was a vital navigational aid for seafarers in the 19th century.
