Great moment in Everton Football Club history captured in this stunning photograph by renowned sports photographer Nigel French. The image showcases Apostolos Vellios, then a young and promising striker for Everton, scoring the thrilling winning goal against Blackburn Rovers at Goodison Park on the 16th of April, 2011. The Premier League match, which took place during the 2010-11 season, was a closely contested affair with both teams giving their all. The tension was palpable as the clock ticked down, with the scoreline remaining deadlocked at 1-1. But just when it seemed that the points would be shared, Vellios stepped up to the plate. In the final minutes of stoppage time, a corner kick was swung into the Blackburn penalty area.
