The City Hall in Boscawen Street before the removal of the drinking fountain to Victoria Park. Gills Shop can be seen to the left, together with the city pump. To the right is Thomas Lampier Dining Rooms and London House. The white clock face suggests it is after the fire of 1914. Recruitment signage for the Royal Navy and His Majestys Army (King George V) can be seen on the wall and suggest it is during the First World War.
