The Dutch defender's towering header, expertly guided into the net, sent the home crowd into a frenzy and brought the Scottish giants one step closer to European glory. The atmosphere was electric as two footballing titans went head-to-head in the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup quarter-finals of the 1999-2000 season. AC Milan, boasting an array of Galacticos including Andriy Shevchenko, Paolo Maldini, and Clarence Seedorf, were considered heavy favorites.
