EDITORS COMMENTS
In this photo print, we witness a groundbreaking moment in aviation history. With utmost silence and grace, the world's first flying saucer, or as its ingenious creators prefer to call it, Skyship, defies gravity and takes flight. What was once confined to the realms of science fiction has now become an awe-inspiring reality. And what makes this achievement even more remarkable is that it originates from British soil. Conceived by Mr. John West and his esteemed firm, John West Design Associates of Epsom, Surrey, this 30-foot saucer represents years of dedication and innovation. The historic takeoff near Bedford marks a significant milestone for British aviation. The chosen location for this extraordinary event is none other than the Royal Aircraft establishment hangar at RAF Cardington - formerly known as the Royal Airship Works. This hangar carries with it a rich history of airships and serves as a fitting backdrop for such an audacious feat. Transporting us back to April 1975, this image encapsulates not only technological progress but also sparks our imagination about extraterrestrial life forms visiting our planet. It evokes thoughts of alien encounters and opens up endless possibilities in the realm of UFOs. This Memory Lane Print captures an era where dreams took flight against all odds while paying homage to those who dared to challenge conventional wisdom in pursuit of scientific advancement.
