Queen Mary, born on May 26, 1867, was the daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Teck and was of German and Scottish descent. She married Prince George, the Duke of York, in 1893, and became the Queen Consort upon his ascension to the throne in 1910. The photograph captures Queen Mary in her later years, wearing a stunning necklace adorned with pearls and diamonds. The intricate design of the necklace adds an elegant touch to her regal attire, reflecting her refined taste and timeless beauty. The background of the portrait is simple, with a subtle texture that complements the Queen's striking features. Her expression is serene and regal, exuding a sense of grace and composure that is characteristic of the British monarchy. This portrait is a testament to Queen Mary's enduring legacy as a beloved and respected monarch. She was known for her dedication to her duties as Queen and her charitable work, particularly her support for the Red Cross and the Girl Guides.
