Among them are some of the most prominent figures of the Argentine Revolution, including General José de San Martín, who led the Argentine forces to victory in the South American Wars of Independence, and General José de San Martín, who is depicted personifying Argentina as a woman, symbolizing the country's newfound freedom and pride. Other notable figures in the scene include General Manuel Belgrano, who raised the Argentine flag for the first time in 1812; General Manuel José de Escobar, who led the defense of Buenos Aires during the British invasion in 1806; General Juan Lavalle, a key figure in the Argentine Revolution; and General José de Urquiza, who played a crucial role in the final stages of the war.
