The Walcheren Expedition, a major military campaign during the Napoleonic Wars, was launched by the British with the objective of capturing the Dutch ports of Flushing and Antwerp, which were believed to be supplying the French army with much-needed resources. The attack on Flushing was a significant turning point in the Walcheren Expedition.
