The Kapellbrucke, or Chapel Bridge, is a historic covered bridge in the picturesque Swiss city of Lucerne (Luzern). This iconic landmark, spanning the Reuss River, dates back to the 14th century and is renowned for its distinctive wooden construction and intricate interior decorations. In this photograph, taken in the 1910s, we are granted a rare glimpse into the bridge's interior. The wooden ceiling is adorned with vibrant paintings, each panel telling a story from Swiss history and mythology.
