In this elegant and timeless photograph, Elizabeth Angela Marguerite Bowes-Lyon, later known as the Queen Mother, radiates grace and poise as she gazes off into the distance. The Duchess of York, who would later become the Queen Consort of King George VI of England, is depicted in the prime of her youth, around 1925. Her thin, delicate features are accentuated by the intricate necklace that adorns her neck, adding an air of sophistication and regality to her appearance. Born on August 4, 1900, Elizabeth Angela Marguerite Bowes-Lyon was the youngest daughter of the 14th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne. Her marriage to the Duke of York, the future King George VI, on April 26, 1923, marked the beginning of her life as a royal consort. However, her journey to the throne would be far from ordinary. When King Edward VIII abdicated the throne in 1936, Elizabeth's husband, George VI, became King. Elizabeth, who had been the Duchess of York, became the Queen Consort.
