Dress of the reign of King George II, 1727-1760.. She wears a flat black hat, the Pamela Hat, over a lace bonnet, and a blue dress with fitted bodice, lace sleeves, collar, and apron. Based on portraits and descriptions from periodicals. The Pamela Hat (inspired by Samuel Richardsons novel), was worn until the start of the 19th century by some elderly peasantry.
