The court room at the St Peters workhouse, Bristol. The wood-panelled room has an ornate fire-place and ceiling. The building, once owned by merchant Robert Aldworth, was used as a workhouse 1698-1900. Also known as St Peters Hospital, it was destroyed in an air raid in 1940. Date: circa 1910
