He is best known for his eloquent preaching and miraculous powers, which drew vast crowds during his missionary journeys throughout Europe. The Catholic Church was expanding its reach, and missionaries like Antony played a crucial role in spreading the faith. In gratitude, Antony vowed to honor the Virgin Mary with a sermon every year on the Feast of the Assumption.
