At its center stands Anton Chekhov (1860-1904), the renowned Russian playwright, holding the pages of his groundbreaking play, "The Seagull." Surrounding him are members of the Moscow Art Theatre, the pioneering theatre company that would bring his works to life. To Chekhov's right is Constantin Stanislavski (1863-1938), the influential actor and director who would go on to develop the renowned "Method Acting" technique.
