The Weimar Republic, established in 1919 following the end of World War I, faced numerous challenges, including the aftermath of war reparations, political instability, and the onset of the Great Depression. These factors, combined with an excessive printing of paper money to finance the government's expenses, led to a rapid increase in prices and the devaluation of the German Mark. By 1923, the situation had reached a critical point, with the value of the Mark plummeting.
